- 2017 Ford Focus
Hello all,
Was hoping for any help in guiding me through any options I might have. My situation is i had a long block engine I my 2017 Ford Focus 1.0L Turbo Eco replace 15 months ago under a recall
23S64. Fast forward, a couple weeks ago, I get a check engine light, cylinder 3 misfire. I start to notice on cold starts a stalling shudder for 10-15 secs. Drive 50 miles to work. Recheck engine codes, cylinder 3 and 2 misfire. I open my hood and smell sweet smell, look at coolant and its barely visible in reservoir. I call for AAA for a tow to take back to dealer that put in engine. After diagnosis, and opening case with Ford, they say they wont cover for replacing engine because its a different issue. Now I may be slow but with the new engine only 15 months old and 24k on it, how in the world does an engine go out like that? I have 9k tied up in this car. Ive called Ford customer care and they said im out of luck. Anyone know if I have any other options I should try?
