I am brand new to this forum. I am an old school DIY mechanic trying to help my daughter, 2104 Ford Focus, manual transmission, ex boyfriend drove the car and parked it. Will go into all gears, but does not move or even drop RPMs. They actually go up when you let the clutch out without giving it any throttle. Trying to find any information online is a bear! As I said, I'm old school, have replaced clutches in older muscle cars, and these symptoms don't match anything i have seen. So my thought was to try enthusiasts, the ones who relly know and enjoy these cars. It's a base focus four door, 2.0 I4 FI Flex Fuel. Any help in any direction would be appreciated. Just wondering if it could be anything else beyond a completely smoked clutch. I have never seen one that bad.
