Ford Focus II 6000 cd radio locked

Hello! My name is Stefan, and I’ve owned a Ford Focus 2 for two years. I’m new to this forum and I have a problem: my Radio 6000 CD has locked up. I looked through the paperwork and couldn’t find an unlock code. How can I find that code?

This is a common issue with the Focus model whenever the battery is disconnected. The exact same thing happened to me when I took my car in for service and the mechanics disconnected the battery terminal, the radio immediately went into CODE mode.

Usually, the code isn’t listed in the owner’s manual. You can remove the radio using some inexpensive removal tools to get the serial number (which starts with M or V), and you can use this free tool to generate the code. Enter the serial number from the sticker on the back, and it will generate the code immediately.

Once you have it, enter it using buttons 1–4 and press 5 to confirm. I hope this helps!
