I have 4 Mk1 Foci so I figured I'd create a thread for each one to get my post whoring up.
My first Focus was bought October 11, 2004. I was on my way to the mall to buy a gift for my brother's birthday when a car caught my eye at the dealership across the highway. I decided to go check it out instead of going to the mall. It was under the awning in front and I had no clue about it other than it was a focus and I loved WRC. The salesperson walked up and didn't really give me the time of day. I looked at it for about 2 minutes and told him I wanted it. He put out his cigarette and said let's go see if you qualify. I put down 3k and was approved as a first time buyer! It was awesome! I walked out of the dealership excited to drive it to show my girlfriend. I knew she was going to be mad but it was worth it. Then the heartbreak gets me. It was a manual. I had only driven a manual car once or twice before and not very well. I had to call my brother to come pick it up for me and drive it to my apartment. I had bought my first brand new car and could not even drive it home. I did not care. I knew I would learn, had no choice really lol. My GF was very pissed but she loved it. Every "street racer" I can across tried to race me lol. I had no clue what I was doing. 12 years later I still have her and still only has 58k miles on it.
