- Ford Focus 1.0 Eco boost mk 3 2014
Hi, MK 3 2014 Focus. Every so often, approx 2-3 months the panel lights on the heater control panel assembly, just those towards the lower section of console, all go out and the air con will only blow out tepid air. All the blower speeds work but no illumination. Fuses all ok and relay is fine, bench tested ok. The only way to restore problem is to disconnect battery, let the residual voltage drain out, (a hour or so) and reconnect. All is then ok until the next time.
Local garage suggests the heater control panel is at fault but does anyone on the forum know if any electronics are inside this unit that would respond to a battery reset or is it a just a unit with switches and connectors that is controlled electronically elsewhere? Has anyone had a similar problem? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for reading.
